Supply originates from 21 partner concessions covering >22,292 hectares in the South Kalimantan and East Kalimantan coal basins (Tapin, Banjar, Tanah Laut, Tanah Bumbu, Kotabaru, and Kutai Kartanegara). All partner concessions hold verified, valid IUP-OP (Izin Usaha Pertambangan Operasi Produksi) or PKP2B concessions registered in the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources (ESDM) MODI/MOMIB database.

Spot parcels and term quotas are allocated against confirmed stockpile physical inventory. We accommodate all standard dry bulk vessel categories loaded via offshore transshipment anchorages: Handymax/Supramax parcels (50,000 to 58,000 MT ±10%), Ultramax vessels (60,000 to 65,000 MT ±10%), Panamax bulkers (70,000 to 80,000 MT ±10%), and deepwater Cape-size transshipment (120,000 to 180,000 MT) at sheltered deep sound anchorages such as Tanjung Pemancingan.

Spot Cargo is a single prompt vessel shipment (e.g., 55,000 MT Supramax) with a fixed 10-day laycan, pricing locked on transaction date, and immediate stockpile drawdown. Contract Supply is a multi-month or annual commitment (e.g., 50,000–100,000 MT/month) providing reserved seam capacity, scheduled laycan rotation, price index linking (ICI 1–5 or fixed collar), and priority berthing at loading terminals.

Recurring supply is guaranteed through: (1) dedicated mine seam block assignment under Joint Operation (KSO) arrangements, (2) multi-pit blending buffers ensuring backup supply if one pit encounters weather or maintenance delays, (3) forward barging commitments with dedicated tug & barge sets, and (4) strict adherence to ESDM Domestic Market Obligation (DMO) clearances so export quotas remain unencumbered.

Cargo allocation follows a strict chronological protocol: (1) Buyer submits formal LOI or Request for Quote specifying grade, volume, and target laycan, (2) PT-INI conducts pit inventory verification and reserves the tonnage, (3) A binding Firm Corporate Offer (FCO) is issued with a 72-hour validity window, and (4) Upon SPA signing and operative financial instrument receipt, cargo is physically tagged at jetty stockpiles.

Our primary export trade terms are: (1) FOB Mother Vessel Trimmed (Free On Board at designated Kalimantan offshore anchorage, seller bears all river barging, transshipment, floating crane costs, and export duties), (2) FOB Barge (seller loads and trims onto buyer’s barge at river jetty), and (3) CFR / CIF (Cost and Freight / Insurance to destination discharge port, arranged via trusted bulk shipowners).

Export prices are structured under two frameworks: (1) Index-Linked Pricing tied to the weekly Indonesian Coal Index (ICI 1, 2, 3, 4, or 5 published by Argus/Coalindo) with agreed premium or discount based on chemical specifications, or (2) Fixed Commercial Price for prompt spot laycans. All prices are calculated in US Dollars (USD) per metric ton.

We accept: (1) 100% Irrevocable Documentary Letter of Credit (L/C at sight, governed by UCP 600) issued by a top-tier international bank, payable against presentation of original shipping documents, or (2) Structured Telegraphic Transfer (T/T via SWIFT) with an advance mobilization deposit (10%–20%) and the balance payable against copy of clean on-board Bill of Lading and surveyor COA/COW. All export foreign exchange complies with PP No. 21/2026 (DHE SDA).

The contract process comprises 6 steps: (1) Buyer RFQ / LOI specification review, (2) Issue of formal Firm Corporate Offer (FCO), (3) Mutual agreement on commercial terms, (4) Contract / Sales and Purchase Agreement (SPA) draft exchange, (5) Corporate legal and KYC due diligence review, and (6) Execution of binding SPA with agreed laycan and banking deadlines.

Standard export contracts establish an initial 10-day laycan window at SPA signing. At 15 days prior to the first day of the initial window, the buyer narrows this to a definitive 5-day laycan window. Laytime starts counting 12 hours after Notice of Readiness (NOR) is tendered or upon vessel berthing/commencement of loading, whichever occurs first (WWD SHINC terms).

Our primary river loading corridors are along the Barito River, Tapin River, and coastal channels of South Kalimantan, with direct logistics access to Banjarmasin, Satui, and Batulicin. From river jetties, coal is barged directly to offshore deepwater anchorages for ocean bulk carrier loading.

We operate through 10 partner river jetty terminals in South Kalimantan equipped with automated radial telescopic conveyor systems (loading rates from 800 to 1,500 MT/hour, such as PT Tapin Coal Terminal and PT Talenta Bumi) as well as mechanical excavator loading wharves. These jetties accommodate 300ft to 330ft bulk coal barges (7,500 to 10,000 DWT).

Offshore anchorages have zero air draft restrictions. Water depths range from 12.0 meters to over 22.0 meters at low water spring tide, accommodating Geared Supramax (draft ~12.8m), Ultramax (~13.3m), Panamax (~14.5m), and Capesize bulkers. Geared bulkers can use ship gear with grabs; gearless bulk carriers are loaded using floating transshipment cranes.

Standard contractual loading rates at anchorage are 15,000 to 20,000 MT per weather working day (WWD SHINC) for Supramax and Ultramax bulkers, and 20,000 to 25,000 MT/day for Panamax vessels utilizing high-capacity floating cranes equipped with 25–35 MT grabs.

We operate across 4 verified deepwater transshipment anchorages in South Kalimantan waters: (1) Taboneo Anchorage (03°41'00" S / 114°28'00" E, depth 14–18m), (2) Asam Asam Anchorage (03°55'00" S / 115°06'00" E, depth 12–16m), (3) Muara Satui Anchorage (03°54'00" S / 115°29'00" E, depth 14–17.5m), and (4) Tanjung Pemancingan / Pulau Laut (03°12'00" S / 116°18'00" E, depth 16–22m, sheltered sound).

Typical sailing times for bulk carriers loaded at South Kalimantan anchorages are: 8–11 days to Southern China (Guangzhou, Fangcheng), 11–14 days to Northern China (Qingdao, Caofeidian), 12–15 days to East Coast India (Paradip, Krishnapatnam), 16–19 days to West Coast India (Mundra, Kandla), 5–7 days to Southern Vietnam, and 6–8 days to Thailand (Map Ta Phut).

Sampling adheres strictly to ISO 13909 (Hard coal and coke — Mechanical sampling) or ASTM D2234. We utilize automated falling-stream mechanical cross-belt samplers at the jetty conveyor discharge head during barge loading, taking systematic increments proportional to flow. Static stockpile manual sampling is prohibited for final export determination.

Testing is conducted in ISO/IEC 17025 accredited laboratories using standard ASTM or ISO methodologies: Calorific value by Bomb Calorimetry (ASTM D5865 / ISO 1928), Total Moisture by two-stage oven drying (ASTM D3302 / ISO 589), Ash by furnace ignition (ASTM D3174 / ISO 1171), Volatile Matter (ASTM D3175 / ISO 562), Total Sulfur by IR/LECO (ASTM D4239 / ISO 19579), and HGI (ASTM D409).

All export shipments are independently inspected, sampled, and tested by world-renowned, mutually agreed third-party surveying companies: SGS, Sucofindo, Carsurin, or Surveyor Indonesia. The chosen surveyor is appointed under clear bipartite or tripartite instructions and acts as the sole referee authority.

The independent surveyor issues two fundamental binding certificates: (1) Certificate of Sampling and Analysis (COA), certifying all chemical, calorific, proximate, and sizing parameters, and (2) Certificate of Weight (COW), determining exact metric tonnage via initial, intermediate, and final vessel draft surveys conducted in conjunction with ship’s officers.

Standard SPA terms specify guaranteed specifications and rejection limits. If actual loaded GAR deviates from contract specification but remains above the rejection limit, a linear pro-rata price adjustment formula is applied. If moisture exceeds contract limits, a weight deduction is made from invoice tonnage. If sulfur or ash exceeds absolute rejection thresholds, buyer has the contractual right to reject cargo or renegotiate commercial terms.

PT-INI holds active Registered Coal Exporter approval (Eksportir Terdaftar Batubara / ET Batubara) No. 03.ET-04.24.0202 issued by the Ministry of Trade (valid through 2027), operates under verified IUP-OP titles registered in ESDM MODI, and generates electronic Non-Tax State Revenue (e-PNBP SIMPONI) payment vouchers required for export clearance.
